Simplistic New Construction

Initially contacted for a clean, simple residential foundation, SCC was delighted to return to this project for the exterior flatwork. The foundation was a mono-pour (single pour) and turned out beautifully. So beautiful, in fact, that when designing the exterior flatwork, the homeowner actually asked for a more imperfect, industrial look! We took an afternoon with her to look at concrete finishes around Port Townsend and eventually settled on an acid-washed finish with intentional ‘air pockets’ in the walls. The end result was a front patio, decorative curb, step, and landing with the industrial, modern look the customer was looking for. We were thrilled with the end result.
