SCC was contacted by the owners of this café who were in the middle of a complete remodel. They were looking for a pretty, low maintenance floor for the entry of the café, dining area, and both bathrooms. Rather than have grouted-tile in such high-traffic areas, they were interested in concrete floors poured over the existing suspended slab. As a solution to this unusual circumstance, we researched and found a self-leveling concrete product well suited to this application. We added integral color in moss for the pretty factor. Then, for something a little different, added more color powder to the bathroom surface, creating a “moon-rock” finish with extra texture.
