Multi-Functional Art Studio and Outdoor living

Working closely with Coxen Construction & Design, SCC was thrilled to be a part of this couple’s dream art studio. After initially completing the foundation and garage slab a year earlier, we were invited back to help design and construct the exterior concrete. This included a driveway, walkway, patio, small foundation for a structure to hold blackberries, and finally, a grand set of stairs.  All flatwork on this project was finished in SCC Custom, with the walkway, driveway, and patio saw-cut in a tile pattern. In order to increase traction on the sloping walkway and stairway, we added silica sand to the sealer. The double radius flight of 20+ stairs was ‘earthen’ colored with a decorative toe-kick. This was a stunning project to be a part of.
