Multi-Level, Modern Patio

SCC was contacted by these homeowners to create a backyard patio to complement their mid-century modern home. Working closely with them on the specific design elements, our goal was to create an interesting, multi-level patio and back porch with benches, stairs, and open space for seating. Intentional, yet subtle, air-pockets were encouraged in the walls and the remaining surface was finished with an acid wash to create texture. Decorative, yet functional saw cuts were placed to further emphasize the strong lines of this patio. The end result is a complete outdoor living space that holds true to the modern design.
